Health Coaches partner with clients seeking self-directed, lasting changes, aligned with their values. This promotes health, wellness, and well-being. In the course of their work, health coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change, honoring that each client is an expert in their life, while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental.
In 2008, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and then again in 2010 which required multiple surgeries. Then in 2014, I was considered clinically obese and my doctor told me for the first time in my life I had high cholesterol, high triglycerides, was pre-diabetic, and had a fatty liver. I was also not sleeping well, started having a lot of migraines headaches, and was stressed out! I knew my diet was to blame. I was also asked in front of a group of co-workers when I was due, but I was not pregnant!
In December 2014, I started my weight loss journey and by May 2015, I had lost 42 pounds! All my blood work is now normal and I no longer suffer from migraines or feel stressed out due to lack of sleep. I take no medication. This was by far the easiest, healthiest diet I had ever done (and I've done them all)! I was not hungry and had a lot of energy.
I opened Diet Mentor to help others lose weight and teach them how to keep it off!

I have worked in healthcare my entire life starting out as a medical and insurance transcriptionist. I then moved on to become the Practice Administrator for two area medical practices for many years managing all areas of both practices. I realized I wanted to be more hands-on helping people learn to live a healthy lifestyle so I opened Diet Mentor in 2016.
My Wellness journey began in the fall of 1997 as the mother of two kids under 3. While on vacation, my 49 year loved one had a stroke while we were dining, and then another (or more) on our flight home. After the reality of balancing the care for my loved one and the needs of my growing family, I committed to a change of my health so I could change my life. My determination was (and is) to enjoy a long, healthy life with, and for, my family.
In 2015, I committed to become a Certified Health Coach and share the wealth of health with you!

I used to be 80 pounds overweight and it took a toll on my life for over 20 years! I know the struggles people go through physically and mentally. I'm now living my BEST life and feel much better than when I was in high school. I want to help others achieve this feeling and live their best life too!

My health journey began in 2014 when I was battling GI issues, dizziness, headaches, elevated heart rate and would often miss out on fun events because I was feeling too sick to attend. My health issues took a toll on my daily life for too many years.
I recently got diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and have since changed my diet and added more exercise into my routine, and I feel better than I've ever felt before! It's amazing to me how a healthy diet and some determination can change your life!
I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, and I want to help others feel their very best! Our bodies have done a lot for us, so it's time to thank them with a healthy diet, some patience and dedication!
